We will be roughing it a research facility that is part of a community action organization. On the agenda are visits to the sea and to a large bay known for its fishing. We will be hiking in the jungle, traveling by boat in the rivers, getting up at 5a.m. for bird watching, and spending time at the beach. There is no internet access or cell coverage. I'll meet you all back here on Friday!

Going dark for 3 Days...Will post more on Friday!
Okay, so we are headed out on Nature Air to a remote peninsula of Costa Rica called Osa. It will take 2 planes to get our small group of 25 to Osa but we will all have a widow seat and weather permitting we should get some spectacular pictures of the landscape from the air. We will be flying low to the ground for this purpose--and to save energy of course!

(left) I had forgotten about this tasty treat from my childhood; it makes a good flying away image. It's a cream puff swan.

Mi Refugio in St. Augustine is long gone. You were 5 years old. The owner would take you to the pastry case & let you pick the swan of your choice. He husband was the baker.
