US Embassy Visit

Today we visited the U.S. Embassy and met with Jennifer Nehez the Cultural Affairs Officer (Agregada Cultural). There are only these images from outside the embassy because the US embassy does not allow you to bring any electronic devices cell phones or cameras whatsoever. On our visit we also met Don Lock, the coordinator for US citizen services, Timothy Lattimer, the Regional Environmental Officer for the EHCA (Environmental Hub for Central America), and Diego Costa, a Costa Rican National who works for the US in the embassy as an environmental consultant to the EHCA.

Jennifer Nehez received Cheyenne's (8th grader at TMS) upcycled art as a gift on the visit and  promised to e-mail in a picture of her with the project since were were not allowed to bring cameras. She said that as the Cultural Affairs officer she was very impressed with our unique idea of using art to make personal connections with people in Costa Rica and asked that I commend all of my students for their very creative efforts. Great job guys!!!

  1. Your pictures are so clear and the sky is just beautiful there is Costa Rica. Get very excited every time I read of one of our Trickum's upcycled art pieces being given to someone in Costa Rica; it's like the student is along for the adventure too.
